    I want these bad. I have no floor space left really and want a functional trainer badly. These would work. But I'd like to see the technology come along a little further to where two units can adjust with each other (maybe bluetooth). The price needs to come down and the warranty needs to improve too. But damn so promising.

    • @BasementBrandon

      You can pair them and adjust at the same time (might be app only).

  • @Ryan_Secord

    What would you say is the most durable knee sleeve regardless of super stiff or even among the non-stiff options? I'm recovering from a knee injury and I plan on using weightlifting sleeves for judo which doesnt require constant deep squats and such but I still need good support that won't tear after a month for 120 bucks plus.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon 2 дня назад

      Based off your comments I'd prob look at the 5mm rehband or sbd sleeves. 7mm powerlifting sleeves would prob be too much for other sorts of training and stiff sleeves would jsut be pointless.

    I’m torn between a selectorized lat pulldown/low row (probably BOS due to ceiling height) or a Voltra. I have plenty of room for the lat tower and cost is close enough. What do you think?

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon 2 дня назад

      Well if you're only looking at one voltra the max resistance is 200lbs, where most lat pull downs can either be plate loaded or come with a stack that's 300-350lbs.

    Hey Brandon! As far as I can tell, the only machined plates you can get in Europe are the SQMIZE Olympic Legacy Plates. I believe they are the exact same plates as the Rogue Olympic Machined Plates - just in KG. The appearance and width are exactly the same, for example. However, SQMIZE plates have two small drawbacks: the 20 kg plates have a diameter of 445 mm, and the center hole has a diameter of 51 mm (2"). Would that be a dealbreaker for you, or do you think other than them being loud, it shouldn't be too bad? They are reasonably priced, and they have a weight tolerance of just +/- 1%. Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks! I'll get my entire home gym setup from SQMIZE (rack, bars and flooring), so it would be cool have a one stop shop.

    • @MJA89
      @MJA89 3 дня назад

      By the way, my other option would be the Strength Shop Riot Cast Iron Plates, which have a diameter of 450 mm, a 50,3 mm center and a weight tolerance of +/- 2%. The SS plates are a bit cheaper even considering shipping, but of course I would have to deal with another shipment. And getting heavy gym equipment shipped is kind of a pain here in Austria.

    • @BasementBrandon
      @BasementBrandon 2 дня назад

      So what I would say first is a lot of what I cover here are my own preferences having owned anything. At the end of the day all of them can and will get you strong. What it should come down to for you is what is the most appealing to you: budget, tolerance, width, material, etc.

      @@BasementBrandon Thanks, Brandon! You’re right! I’ve probably become too neurotic about the planning of my home gym during our house construction. I'll probably get everything from SQMIZE.
